Version 0.2.3 content and spell-rule repair — September 8, 2026 at 12:36 CEST

  • Restored the missing HIT proc phase for Protector of the Frail (373035), retaining the existing Power Word: Shield restriction and cooldown-reduction script. Live talent behavior still requires testing.- Repaired Mist's departure route by assigning its four existing nodes to path 28545, matching the path header and SmartAI actions. Preserved all coordinates and quest objectives.- Applied migration 16 remotely with affected-row backup, exact transaction rollback, repeat-import and unchanged row-count checks. Restart worldserver; no new executable required.- Remaining missing loot and unsupported all-zero proc rules are unresolved.

Details: [Content and spell-rule repair](doc/CONTENT_RULE_REPAIR_0.2.3.md).

Version 0.2.3 database-error verification — September 8, 2026 at 12:27 CEST

  • Confirmed all 63 migration-14/15 corrections against the new 12:25:46 log: 20,660 to 20,597 messages, with no added messages.- A total of 1,374 original messages are now confirmed absent. Remaining content and proc-rule errors are unresolved; no additional database changes were made during this verification.

Version 0.2.3 database-error repair III — September 8, 2026 at 12:10 CEST

  • Confirmed migration 13 against the new 12:04:07 log: 20,700 to 20,660 messages, exactly 40 removed and none added.- Applied 63 further guarded field corrections remotely in migrations 14 and 15.- Cleared 46 unused quest-objective condition values without changing objective IDs, required progress, negation or script bindings. Corrected three movement fields using existing loader fallbacks.- Replaced six all-zero parent rotations with identity rotations and four zero visual-spell IDs with nullable defaults.- Cleared one unsupported spell-proc attribute bit, one redundant phase group, one unused quest-state condition value and one error text without an error type.- Backups, exact transaction rollback, repeat import and unchanged row-count checks passed. No content rows were deleted. Remaining missing loot, quest/spawn data and proc rules still need reconstruction; these corrections mostly persist existing runtime behavior.- Restart worldserver for the next log verification. No new executable is required.

Version 0.2.3 database-error repair II — September 8, 2026 at 12:02 CEST

  • Applied 40 additional guarded corrections to the remote world database (migration 13).- Persisted loader fallbacks for 12 invalid RequiredExpansion values and two zero movement speeds. Cleared five unused wander radii on idle spawns.- Cleared 20 quest start-item quantities where StartItem is zero and supplied the loader default quantity of one for quest 88719, item 239151.- Preserved a sixth radius because its stored MovementType is 10, not the idle value reported after loader fallback; this case remains for separate review.- Backups, exact transaction rollback, repeat import and unchanged row-count checks passed. These changes mostly persist existing runtime behavior; no retail content reconstruction is claimed. Restart worldserver to verify the next log; no new executable is required.

Version 0.2.3 database-error verification — September 8, 2026 at 11:58 CEST

  • Compared the newly supplied 11:51:38 log against the preserved original: messages decreased from 21,971 to 20,700.- Verified that all 1,271 corrected messages disappeared, with no new messages. Exact line comparison retained duplicate counts.- Remaining errors still include missing loot, NPC/quest references and spell-proc rules. This verification makes no additional database changes and does not certify complete gameplay.

Version 0.2.3 database-error follow-up — September 8, 2026 at 11:48 CEST

  • Reviewed 21,971 messages in the supplied DBErrors.log and applied 1,271 guarded field corrections remotely.- Restored 591 redundant health overrides to nullable defaults; persisted 356 existing runtime faction fallbacks; cleared 141 disallowed template/spawn flag values and corrected 18 invalid terrain swaps.- Cleared 104 item-drop quantities without item IDs and replaced 61 invalid signed reward-emote sentinels with the no-emote value.- Preserved all rows and gameplay-content references. Backups, exact transaction rollback, repeat import and unchanged row-count checks passed for both migrations.- Identified an older all-zero spell_proc replacement migration as a contributor to proc errors. Per-spell rules, missing loot, quest data, paths and spawn/event references remain unresolved; no empty loot tables or guessed proc settings were introduced.- Restart worldserver; no new binary is required. A fresh startup log is needed to verify remaining errors at runtime.

Details: [Database-error repair and remaining work](doc/DB_ERRORS_REPAIR_0.2.3.md).

Version 0.2.3 starting-area follow-up — September 8, 2026 at 11:27 CEST

  • User confirmed that the starting-zone selection hotfix works.- Compared 180 existing NPC spawns against available current public map records: 170 match within map resolution. Left uncertain offsets and event/patrol sightings unchanged.- Restored ten missing introductory quest givers: Marshal McBride, Brother Paxton, Undertaker Mordo, Caretaker Caice, Chief Hawkwind, Joren Ironstock, Jona Ironstock, Jin'thala, Kaltunk and Ilthalaine.- Used unrounded historical post-Cataclysm TrinityCore spawn coordinates, corroborated by current retail map positions and current client ground/building heights. Added one spawn per NPC; did not turn multiple sightings into duplicate NPCs or invented patrols.- Preserved the NPCs' existing models, templates, scripts and 68 distinct non-deprecated/non-tracking quest-start relations. These relation counts do not certify objective or quest-chain completion.- Backed up and applied SQL 10 remotely after transaction testing. Verified repeat-import behavior and exactly ten added creature rows. Restart worldserver; no additional executable is needed for this SQL follow-up.- Blood-elf/draenei gaps, Gilneas/Kezan story phases and complete quest playthroughs remain open. Exact retail patrols and all phase visibility are not certified.

Details: [Starting-area spawn evidence](doc/START_SPAWNS_0.2.3.md).

Version 0.2.3 selection hotfix — September 8, 2026 at 10:45 CEST

  • Addressed the report that the first 0.2.3 build still skips starting-zone selection by explicitly enabling IgnoreNewPlayerRestrictions during normal character enumeration.- Compared character packets, authentication and creation behavior against TrinityCore master commit b38237b65f3ed31e98ee0eb9aa7c0a49dc90f38d. Packet serialization and authentication match; the new restriction bypass is an intentional Aureon override, not an upstream change.- Preserved UseNPE-based spawn selection, creation mode and dedicated class introductions. Built Release and included a read-only executable hash check for remote deployment verification.- A new worldserver executable and full client reconnect are required. Actual UI behavior remains to be verified in game; the first release's selection-screen success claim was not backed by a client test.

Details: [Selection hotfix and upstream comparison](doc/START_SELECTION_HOTFIX_0.2.3.md).

Version 0.2.3 follow-up — September 8, 2026 at 10:31 CEST

  • Audited 6,944 starting-area, capital and related transition quest templates from a 47,713-template world database. Separated 832 deprecated, tracking and internal-style records from repair candidates.- Restored missing quest acceptance at Technician Zhanaa for Spare Parts and Vindicator Aldar for Inoculation in the draenei introduction.- Restored Anduin Wrynn's acceptance links for The Lord of Blackrock and Twilight Shores, and Vol'jin's link for Dread Head Redemption, retaining existing quest prerequisites and NPC phases.- Restored Lightspawn's missing Freeing the Light acceptance link from the supplied retail sniff. All 99 explicitly observed NPC quest-start/end relations across the five recordings are now present.- Backed up the affected rows, tested exact transaction rollback, applied six relations remotely and verified repeat import and preservation of existing data. Restart worldserver to reload the SQL changes; this follow-up requires no additional binary build.- Documented unresolved objective-template references, quest-chain references and spawn/relationship review queues. Public comparison processed 226 of 431 requested NPC pages; 205 requests failed or lacked usable data. Full retail coverage and gameplay completion are not claimed.

Details: [Starting-area and capital quest audit](doc/START_CAPITAL_QUEST_AUDIT_0.2.3.md).

Version 0.2.3 — September 8, 2026 at 10:15 CEST

  • Removed the forced new-player restriction that hid the starting-zone selection screen for eligible characters.- Character creation now honors the client's Exile's Reach choice, using the same decision for the spawn location and persisted creation mode. Death Knights and Demon Hunters retain their class introductions; races without NPE coordinates retain their configured starts.- Corrected both faction Pandaren warlock normal starts, which incorrectly contained Exile's Reach ship-local coordinates. Preserved all NPE transport and scene data and all other starting-position rows.- Compared the configured starting routes with Blizzard's current new-player guidance. Older racial maps are not automatically obsolete; Midnight's high-level campaign areas must not replace level-one racial starts.- Release build passed. Backed up the two affected database rows, applied the SQL correction remotely and verified unchanged unrelated rows and repeat-import behavior.- Deployment of the new executable, a worldserver restart and in-client selection/quest playthroughs remain required. This update does not claim complete quest or spawn coverage for every starting area.

Details and sources: [Starting-zone audit](doc/STARTING_ZONES_0.2.3.md).

Version 0.2.2 hotfix — September 8, 2026 at 08:23 CEST

  • Removed the 23 incorrectly added permanent Stalking Prowler spawns from Ogre Ruins. Public map sightings had incorrectly been treated as simultaneous, globally visible spawns, exposing players outside the hunter quest to hostile creatures.- Restored the prowler template's original friendly faction. Preserved other spawns and pet data.- Backed up the affected rows, applied the correction remotely and verified removal and repeat-import behavior. A worldserver restart is required to remove already loaded creatures; no new executable is required for this hotfix.- Disabled the faulty spawn generator. Hunter capture availability is not considered complete until the correct quest-specific appearance is implemented and tested; no replacement global prowlers were added.

Version 0.2.2 follow-up — September 8, 2026 at 01:56 CEST

  • Extended functional class-event support to all ten standard classes and both factions on Exile's Reach. Verified spawned quest-giver endpoints and class restrictions for all 36 class-story quests.- Added paladin ghost interactions, shield cooldown assistance and shield-gated altars. Restored the missing Horde altar objective using an explicitly custom objective ID.- Added rogue corpses, ghosts and poison materials; Gutgruk's protection now responds to Instant Poison and his defeat grants the quest credit.- Added shaman blossom gathering, campfire activation, temporary spirit sight and personal wolf release events. Preserved the existing campfire and normal quest-item removal at turn-in.- Added warlock corpse/grimoire interactions and completion credit only after the native 15-second summoning channel finishes.- Added hunter trap materials, ice-mote delivery, quest trap activation, 23 tamable prowlers and stable conversation credit. Preserved native pet-learning spells and taming/dismissal criteria.- Fixed camp Jaina's spawn-level NPC flag override, which otherwise hid the Alliance monk's final turn-in.- Built the Release server and tested all six follow-up SQL patches for repeat import and exact rollback, then imported and verified them remotely. Added 42 static NPC spawns and 14 objects across this follow-up, plus personal scripted event actors.- Remote binary installation/restart and full in-game class/race playthroughs remain pending. Several scenes, timings, patrols and visibility phases use documented functional fallbacks; this is not a claim of 100% retail completeness.

Details and sources: [Class event report](doc/EXILES_CLASS_EVENTS_2026-09-08.md).

Version 0.2.2 follow-up — September 8, 2026 at 01:19 CEST

  • Restored the verified NPC start/end mappings for 35 class quests and missing quest-giver flags.- Added personal Hjalmar encounters requiring a lethal Execute and priest recruit resurrection using the client's dedicated resurrection override.- Added the druid stone ritual interaction and missing Horde Crenna quest givers.- Added monk meditation and personal Touch of Death sparring. Meditation uses a documented ten-second fallback; retail escort/conversation timing is not reproduced.- Added Horde mage Herbert, Polymorph practice and the missing quest spellbook with quest-only loot.- Verified Release compilation, isolated SQL tests, repeat imports and exact rollback; imported both database patches. Remote binary replacement/restart and in-game testing remain required.- Full island completion is still pending; paladin, hunter, rogue, shaman and warlock events remain open.

Details: [Class event implementation and limitations](doc/EXILES_CLASS_EVENTS_2026-09-08.md).

Version 0.2.2 follow-up — September 8, 2026 at 00:40 CEST

  • Audited 36 Exile's Reach class-story quests across ten classes and both factions, plus six introductory combat/taming quest records.- Corrected 32 class restrictions and added faction conditions while preserving alternative prerequisite branches and existing quest dependencies.- Added priest introduction credit at the existing Alliance/Horde ghost NPCs, preserving normal hand-in menus. Recruit resurrection events remain incomplete.- Restricted Alliance Polymorph practice credit to the summoning mage with the active quest, protected the target from lethal damage and validated the starting interaction.- Applied the tested database patch; the new Release executable still requires remote installation and restart.- Documented 31 incomplete class-quest start/end mappings and the remaining event work. This update does not make all class quests playable.- Corrected earlier health reporting: NULL spawn health is a supported default in this core; previous normalization was not proof of a health defect.

Full coverage and sources: [Exile's Reach class audit](doc/EXILES_CLASS_AUDIT_2026-09-08.md).

Version 0.2.2 — September 7, 2026 at 23:28 CEST

Darkmaul Citadel

  • Restored the final encounter's boss AI on the dungeon's Kalecgos spawn, preserving the outdoor leave script.- Normalized optional health values on 40 dungeon spawns. Later audit confirmed NULL is a valid default, so this was not a demonstrated health bug.- Corrected the shadow barrier to require three distinct shadowcaller deaths and retain its completed state when the barrier reloads.- Fixed Gor'groth reset cleanup, summon accumulation and recovery after the dragon phase. Added a Tunk completion prerequisite for his introduction.- Restored dragon health, possession effects and immunity state consistently between attempts. Added recovery when all nearby players are dead or absent, including during awakening.- Added encounter-state, distance, phase and player-state checks to the exit interaction and corrected the Horde exit objective credit.- Compared current quest descriptions and the supplied capture with the implementation. Preserved the modern Kalecgos encounter rather than reverting to the older Ravnyr presentation.- Tested the database patch and exact rollback on MariaDB 12.3, then applied and verified it remotely. The new Release binary requires installation and restart; a full in-game dungeon run is still pending.

Details and sources: [Darkmaul 0.2.2](doc/DARKMAUL_0.2.2.md).

Version 0.2.1 — September 7, 2026 at 23:17 CEST

Wild Coast and Wingrest Embassy — initial content update

  • Added 412 missing creature spawns across 112 entries, including proto-drakes, proto-whelps, elementals, Scythids, wildlife and embassy NPCs. Placements use supplied capture data checked against extracted terrain and collision data; retail patrols remain incomplete.- Restored captured factions and NPC flags, and normalized optional health values on 39 existing spawns. Later audit confirmed NULL is a valid default.- Implemented Spelunker Lockeye's missing rescue credit with a personal rescued actor and restored the Explorers in Peril turn-in.- Added quest-only scale loot for Practice Materials and molten-core loot for Always Be Crafting. Removed the latter quest's obsolete earthen-core objective. Guaranteed quest drops are a functional fallback, not a verified retail drop rate.- Added 14 Volcanic Geodes, a player-specific excavation interaction, the missing Quality Assurance turn-in and its corrected objective storage index.- Restored the supported Where is Wrathion? introductions and Excuse the Mess quest flow, including Sendrax, Ambassador Fastrasz, the visitor log, welcome message and Brazier of Kinship.- Added specialization recognition, successful-mount credit and Happy Hal homebinding credit for the coastal tutorials.- Preserved existing rescue/survey scripts and extended the elemental kill-credit coverage.- Built the Release x64 worldserver. Tested repeat imports, existing-spawn preservation and exact rollback on MariaDB 12.3, then applied and verified the database patch on the server.- The new executable still requires installation and a worldserver restart. Full Horde beach content, later campaign quests, retail dialogue/animations and in-game acceptance testing remain pending; this is not yet complete retail zone coverage.

Version 0.2 — September 7, 2026

Latest changes — Midnight Silvermoon City

  • Added 34 documented Midnight Silvermoon-area NPC spawns, including profession trainers, supply merchants, service NPCs and missing quest actors. Trainer recipe curricula remain incomplete.- Enabled three auctioneers, two bankers, an innkeeper and eight basic supply merchants, with 116 existing common supply entries and Eriden's repair service.- Restored the quest starts for Saltheril's Haven, Gold is Gold and Lost Lil' Strider, together with missing delivery destinations.- Implemented an ordered, player-specific three-stage Tiff quest interaction with distance, phase and quest-state checks. Retail escape animations and the general Midnight pet capture system remain pending.- Applied the city database patch after testing repeat imports, existing-spawn preservation and rollback on MariaDB 12.3. The updated Release worldserver still requires installation on the remote server.
  • Restored missing quest starters for Lor'themar's Silvermoon introduction and the supported Liadrin/Halduron weekly quests.- Added a basic four-option weekly quest list for Liadrin, two dungeon options for Halduron, and his level 80–89 activity quest. Added weekly reset flags, mutual exclusion, and level checks; the full retail selection and rotation are still pending.- Preserved both faction routes through Paved in Ash when linking the campaign follow-up.
  • Added seven initial NPC spawns around the Sanctum of Light scouting table in Midnight Silvermoon: Turalyon, campaign Liadrin, Arator, Rommath, weekly Liadrin, Halduron, and Aethas. These are custom placements using the existing platform height and Lor'themar's city phase.- Applied the Silvermoon spawn update to the remote world database. A worldserver restart and in-game position check are required; full retail weekly rotation and remaining campaign scripts are still pending.

Additional quest and placement details

  • Added Jonas Everdawn as the quest giver for Saltheril's Haven and placed Lord Saltheril at its recorded delivery destination. The offer requires level 90 and the completed or rewarded Midnight campaign flag.- Added Sarvi as the quest giver for Gold is Gold and placed Magister Aradis at its recorded delivery destination.- Added Hawkrancher Saman as the quest giver for Lost Lil' Strider and placed Tiff at all three recorded objective locations.- Added a Catch Tiff interaction that enforces the objective order, rejects repeated credit, checks that the player is alive and out of combat, and preserves the shared NPC for other players.- Checked all 34 new placements against extracted terrain and collision data, including the city's different floors. Supply merchants use documented district locations with custom nearby offsets.- Placed twelve profession trainers. Midnight recipe lists are still missing; this addition does not make those trainers fully functional.- Kept Pet Wranglin' unavailable because its general wild-pet capture and tracking-training flow is not implemented yet.

Tools, validation and deployment

  • Added UI-map coordinate inspection to the offline map audit tool and optional map filters to the VMAP extractor.- Saved the affected remote database rows before deployment and verified restoration in an isolated MariaDB 12.3 database.- Verified repeat imports without duplicate spawns and preservation of an existing nearby NPC.- Confirmed 34 new spawns, 116 basic supply rows and all three new quest offers by reading back the remote database.- Created Silvermoon-Fix-2026-09-07.zip with the Release worldserver, required DLLs, SQL migration, rollback, installation instructions and SHA-256 checksums.- Remote executable installation, restart and in-game verification remain pending. Further city objects, quest chains and the full Midnight pet capture system remain incomplete.

Pets and Professions

  • Fixed pets.- Fixed all professions.

Stormwind — Hero's Call Board

  • Added an initial working selection menu with the Broken Shore, Tanaan Jungle, and Mount Hyjal options.- Added the recorded artwork and German descriptions for all three options.- Connected the options to their Legion, Warlords of Draenor, and Mount Hyjal introductory quests.- Added quest eligibility checks and protection against duplicate quest acceptance.- Hidden introductory quests that are already active or rewarded.

The Waking Shores — Wild Coast

  • Added recorded rescue movements and personal rescue NPCs.- Fixed Rellid's rescue sequence being skipped after quest credit was awarded.- Added missing quest conversations and NPC interactions.- Fixed boarding the survey vehicle and implemented its three survey actions, movement sequences, and objective credit.- Improved cleanup of personal NPCs and vehicles when players leave or abandon the relevant quests.

Exile's Reach

  • Improved Meredy's rescue event with personal NPCs and encounter cleanup.- Fixed rescue conversations using missing actor references.- Assigned Bloodbeak quest credit and Henry's healing to the correct player.- Fixed the ogre transformation completion sequence and personal prisoner handling.- Added proximity and quest-state checks to the relevant emote interactions.- Corrected Hrun's spawn tracking for both Alliance and Horde objectives.

World Data and Stability

  • Repaired missing spawns and outdated database migration fields.- Corrected creature health values and waypoint data in affected updates.- Added repeatable database repairs that preserve existing equivalent spawns.- Corrected the local server's data directory to use the extracted game data.

Release Notes

  • Built the updated worldserver in Release configuration.- Tested the new database updates with MariaDB 12.3.- Applied the Hero's Call Board database update to the remote server; the new server executable still needs to be installed there.- The Hero's Call Board currently supports the three initial options above. Dynamic rotation and the complete retail follow-up spell sequence are not yet implemented; in-game verification remains pending.- Other packaged fixes require installation on the remote server. Full quest-chain and pathfinding verification remains ongoing.
